Marcus Vagnby Mortar and Pestle

marcus vagnby motar and pestle
Designed by Marcus Vagnby, this mortar and pestle set proves that exhibiting disparate materials together can yield an elegant piece of design that merits more value than it seems — unlike some object made of, say, platinum, diamonds and human teeth. The design of the stainless steel pestle is inspired by the cow horn as used by the Vikings. The beechwood mortar has a non-slip rubberized base to make sure it stays in place and doesn't scratch the kitchen countertop.

Mortar: 4.13"w x 4.13"l x 3.5"h; tapering to 3.5"w x 3.5"l (base).
Pestle: 8.6"l.
