Alessi Electronic Kitchen Scale

As soon as I saw this sleek kitchen scale designed by Stefano Giovannoni, I thought of my childhood — around the age of seven — obsession with extra large calculators; I didn't need a calculator with a big display and big keys, but I wanted one more than I wanted to go to Disneyland. Honestly I don't think kitchen scales are necessary at all, but this Alessi one would be a lovely addition to any cook's collection. Made of 18/10 stainless steel and thermoplastic resin. The display is LCD with backlight.
